Morgan’s Caring Connection Celebrates One Year of Impact and Growth

[Verona, WI] – February 19, 2025 – Morgan’s Caring Connection (MCC), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families with special needs dependents in securing long-term financial stability, proudly celebrates its one-year anniversary. Since its founding on February 19, 2024, MCC has made significant strides in bridging the financial and informational gap for families navigating complex estate planning and future care decisions.

“Our journey started as a mission to honor my daughter Morgan’s legacy, and in just one year, we’ve seen how powerful this movement has become,” said Janis, Co-Founder & Executive Director of MCC. “The support from our community has been overwhelming, and together, we are changing lives.”

A Year of Milestones and Achievements

In its first year, Morgan’s Caring Connection has:

• Raised Over $50,000 through Fundraising – The Inaugural Kickoff Celebration in August 2024 set the stage for future events, bringing the community together to support families in need. Givebacks and Fundraising at local businesses including: Alice Good Coffee, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Vintage Brewing Company, 5th Quarter (Bianca Lynn Breeze – Drag Queen Bingo) and so many more.
• Awarded Estate Planning Grants – MCC has already funded multiple estate planning grants, helping families afford critical legal services such as wills, special needs trusts, and guardianship arrangements.
• Expanded Our Network of Professionals – Partnering with attorneys, financial planners, and insurance professionals and others MCC has built a vetted network to guide families through the complexities of future planning.
• Grown Our Sponsorship and Community Support – Businesses and organizations have stepped up, including Horn & Johnsen S.C., Achieving Collaborative Treatment, Gunderson Funeral Home, W.R. Stewart & Associates, Old National Bank, and many others, helping MCC expand its reach and impact.
• Launched Community Education and Fundraising Initiatives – From partnerships with local businesses like Alice Good Coffee to our upcoming, white-labeled beer collaboration with Delta Beer Lab, MCC continues to innovate in raising funds and awareness.
• Became a Recognized Leader in Estate Planning Support for Special Needs Families – MCC was nominated for a national award for Best Nonprofit Organization, a testament to our growing influence and commitment to serving families.

Looking Ahead

As MCC enters its second year, the organization aims to increase the number of estate planning grants awarded, expand its professional network, and grow its donor base. With a goal of securing 100 recurring donors in 2025, MCC is committed to ensuring that every family, regardless of financial status, has access to the legal resources they need to plan for the future.
