Planned Giving
Supporting families with planning, resources, and financial assistance to secure the future of loved ones with special needs.
Planned or Legacy Giving
At MCC our commitment to compassion, empowerment, integrity, collaboration, advocacy, inclusivity, and sustainability, forms the foundation of our work. Now, you have the opportunity to make your legacy a part of ours.
What is Planned Giving?
If you have questions or wish to discuss a different way to leave a legacy gift to Morgan’s Caring Connection, please contact Janis Strutt at 608-999-1474 or janis@morganscc.org. We would also appreciate it if you could inform us of your planned legacy gift, so we can recognize your generosity and commitment.
Planned Giving Options:
Significant Impact:
You can make a substantial contribution while retaining control over your assets during your lifetime.
Tax Benefits:
Your estate may qualify for federal tax deductions, potentially reducing the overall tax burden.
Enduring Legacy:
Your generosity will create a lasting impact, supporting families with special needs dependents in our community.
Through your estate, you can bequeath cash, securities, real estate, and tangible personal property, such as artwork, to Morgan’s Caring Connection. There are various types of bequests, each requiring specific language in your will. For detailed instructions, you can download our recommended bequest wording or contact Janis Strutt at 608-999-1474 or janis@morganscc.org with any questions.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
At Morgan’s Caring Connection, we understand the importance of securing a legacy that reflects your values and passion for helping others. One powerful way to contribute to our mission while benefiting from tax advantages is through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
What is a QCD?
A Qualified Charitable Distribution allows individuals aged 70½ or older to donate up to $100,000 per year directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualified charity like Morgan’s Caring Connection. By making a QCD, you can fulfill your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) without increasing your taxable income.
Why Choose a QCD?
Tax Efficiency:
QCDs offer significant tax advantages. Since the distribution goes directly to the charity, it is not included in your taxable income, which can help reduce your overall tax liability.
Satisfy Your RMD:
If you are 73 or older and required to take an RMD, a QCD can satisfy this requirement while supporting a cause you care deeply about.
Make a Meaningful Impact:
Your QCD will directly support Morgan’s Caring Connection’s mission to provide grants and resources to families with special needs dependents. Your gift will help secure the future of those who need it most.
